China's Smart Instrument Internet Of Things Industry Prospects Predict Broad Prospects For The Development Of Smart Instruments

The promotion of policies and the demand for intelligent life make smart meters increasingly popular. Smart meters with the background of the Internet of things has made great technological breakthroughs, the national ladder pricing strategy will directly push the industry to the tuyere, the overall market size of smart electricity/water/gas meters in 2023 is expected to exceed 40 billion yuan, smart meters industry development prospects.

The market scale of China's instrument and meter industry is expanding rapidly

From 2011 to 2016, the market size of China's instrumentation industry has achieved rapid expansion. In 2014, the industry sales revenue exceeded 800 billion yuan, reaching 818.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%. In 2016, the sales revenue of China's instrumentation industry reached 935.5 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%.

Intelligent instrument is a combination of computer science, electronics, digital signal processing, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies and traditional instrumentation technology, it can get accurate measurement through the fully automated operation process, achieve energy saving, and data storage calculation logic judgment, to help energy suppliers optimize energy allocation. Taking electricity and natural gas as an example, every 0.1% improvement in the accuracy of natural gas measurement can reduce the loss of 180 million cubic meters of natural gas, bringing huge economic benefits; After the use of smart meters, the electricity information of each household will be transmitted to the power supply company for analysis in real time, and the computer system can accurately allocate electricity to each household according to demand to avoid wasting energy.

Sensor technology is crucial to the quality of smart instruments

Sensor technology is very important to the quality of intelligent instrument, intelligent instrument sensor generally adopts pulse technology, direct reading technology and other technical routes. The photoelectric direct-reading sensor is a passive sensor, which can directly display the relevant energy consumption measurement data, and can output signals or data. Compared with the traditional pulse technology intelligent sensor, it has the advantages of accurate measurement, long service life, valve control function, easy installation, simple debugging, no initialization, easy maintenance, short circuit protection function. Due to historical reasons, China's intelligent instrument sensor is currently generally used pulse technology, with the popularity of direct reading technology, more and more intelligent instruments will use photoelectric direct reading sensors.
In recent years, the domestic sensor market has continued to grow rapidly, with an average annual growth rate of more than 20%. In 2011, the size of China's sensor market was 48 billion yuan; By 2016, the sensor market size reached 112.6 billion yuan.

From 2011 to 2015, the number of sensor patent applications in China increased year by year; In 2015, the number of sensor patent applications reached a recent peak of 11,883. In 2016, the number of sensor-related patent applications in China was 11653; In 2017, the number of sensor-related patent applications in China was 6,001.

The Internet of Things is an important technical support for the development of smart meters

The Internet of Things is an important technical support for the development of smart meters, and the Internet of Things itself focuses on expanding the application field, which can expand many new markets for the instrumentation industry and create greater value, such as energy saving and emission reduction, urban planning, environmental monitoring and other fields can be further improved by smart meters as the source.
The domestic industrial chain and industrial system of the Internet of Things have taken shape, and the industrial scale has grown rapidly. At present, China's automatic control, information sensing, radio frequency identification and other technologies and industries required for the development of the Internet of Things have been mature or basically mature, communication operators and system equipment providers have reached a world-class level, and downstream applications are constantly expanding. At present, the Internet of Things has been more mature in security monitoring, intelligent transportation, smart grid, intelligent logistics and so on.

At present, the scale of China's Internet of Things market continues to expand. In 2016, the scale of China's Internet of Things industry reached 930 billion yuan, an increase of 24% year-on-year, and it is expected that by 2020, the overall scale of China's Internet of Things industry will exceed 1.8 trillion yuan.
